Halloween Steam & Scream – Friday 31st October 2025

 


All aboard… if you dare! 

 

This Halloween, Echills Wood Railway invites you to join us for a frightfully fun evening of steam, screams, and spooky surprises.

 

EVENT INFORMATION

This twilight journey is recommended for older children and adults, as the spooks and scares become more intense as darkness falls. Beware of the monsters lurking in the swampland… you never know when they might appear!

Halloween Steam & Scream is widely recognised as one of the best value-for-money Halloween experiences in the region.
 

Whether you’re looking for a unique family outing or an alternative to trick-or-treating, this one-night-only event promises an unforgettable blend of steam trains and spine-tingling thrills.

 

Whats Included:

  • 2km train journey riding in our open coaches
  • Spooky and scary atmosphere

 

SESSIONS

Daylight Hours: 

For families with younger children, the railway will be open from 14:00 to 17:00, featuring a gentler experience with fewer scares. Tickets for this session are only available on the day from the ticket office, at the standard ticket price.
 

Twilight & Evening Session:

From 17:00 to 19:30, your tickets will give you access to ride our trains through the darkened woods, where eerie sights and sounds await around every corner. The final trains will depart around 19:30, so please ensure you are in the queue before 19:00. Trains will run regularly throughout the evening, but please note they do not follow a fixed timetable.

 

Important Information:

  • Final trains will depart Harvesters at 19:30, you must join the queue before 19:00.
  • The train ride is approximately 20 minutes long, departing from Harvesters Station.
  • This is an outdoor event, please ensure that you dress appropriately for the weather conditions.
  • This event features flashing lighting effects.
  • Buggies and pushchairs cannot be accommodated on the train, however can be stored at Harvesters station on request. 
  • Those with very young children or who themselves are easily scared are advised not to ride after 5pm - You have been warned!
  • Ticket price does not include entry to Kingsbury Water Park! Warwickshire Country Council operates a cashless pay and display car park.
  • Dogs are not permitted, except for assistance dogs.
  • We are unable to give refunds if you miss your train.

Services are a mixture of steam and diesel/electric powered - subject to volunteers and loco availability!
